Self Defence and Cardio Conditioning classes taught at Secondary Schools
We teach our Self Defense Courses at High Schools all across the GTA, Oakville and Toronto. This is by far one of the most rewarding courses we do. We try to interact with the students in a way that we can get through to them. Our job is to give confidence and try to leave lasting impression on the students so that they can apply what they have learned if a precarious situation did arise.
Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for this program would include the following components:
- Defend surprise attacks
- How to escape from different surprise attacks & holds from attackers
- How to position yourself for defense
- Properly execute physical techniques such as punching, kicking, striking etc.
- Phrases and words to say to avoid conflicts
- Different techniques that are specifically catered to females and males.
Wave Masters and Target Pads
Magnitude Defense Systems will bring equipment to your school for the enhancement of the course. We bring in 'Wave Masters' and Target Pads for the students to practice kicking and punching techniques and learn how to do this safely and properly. We blend our Self Defense Course with a Cardio Kickboxing workout so that the students can benefit from the intense physical activity as well.
Protective suit
Magnitude Defense Systems will also bring in a full protective suit for one day so that the students can apply certain attacks on our Instructors in a safe environment.
This way the students can actually feel what it is like to make physical contact with an attacker. We feel that this is important so that the student can be mentally prepared if a situation would arise.
Magnitude Defense Systems incorporates realistic training in a very entertaining and supportive environment that has proven to be the most effective way to provide kids with the choices to live safe, happy and vital lives.
Students learn positive life skills
We help to identify the common mistakes kids make in various confrontations; mistakes that not only get them into trouble in the moment, but also mistakes that often become longterm negative patterns that can carry into adulthood.
We try to teach the skills to take control of their bodies, and take responsibility for their actions through assessment of the problem and then following through with an assertive, appropriate response.
What has appeared to work very effectively with the other high schools that we teach at is the following format.
We teach anywhere from 3 to 4 classes per day for one to two weeks each semester. The maximum number of kids per class is 30 students unless otherwise arranged. We charge a flat rate per hour for our Self Defense or Cardio classes.
We also offer Cardio Kickboxing classes without any selfdefence training if required by the Physical Education Teachers. We have done this for several schools as well. There is also the option of coming to our facilities to privately participate in these classes during the day or we can bring our amazing portable free standing apparatus which holds 8 to 12 workout bags to your school gym. This is an intense workout combining cardio and strength drills. Great for school sport teams!
Mili–Martial Fitness Obstacle Course:
Taught at Elementary and Secondary Schools
Our MiliMartial Fitness Obstacle Course is a new and innovative way for students to exercise and keep fit and at the same time practice agility and coordination while having tons of fun!! We bring and set up all the equipment necessary to make an energetic, fun and challenging course such as balance beams, stepping stones, tunnels, a motorized gauntlet etc

Corporate Self Defence Programs
What better way than to combine team building with practical self defence in workshops offered to your employees. Fun, interactive and beneficial to anyone, our Self Defence Workshops teach valuable techniques that are easy to learn and remember. Magnitude has conducted many workshops for Airlines and Corporations quite successfully. It has always been a favourite course among staff.
